I am a final year student pursuing a dual major in B.E Mechanical Engineering and M.Sc Mathematics. I have developed a keen interest in Motion Planning, Optimization, Topological Robotics and Control Theory. I wish to have a career in Research wherein I aim to develop state of the art algorithms for Robots by applying concepts from pure mathematics. I am currently working with Andreas Orthey and Joaqiom Ortiz De-Haro at the Learning and Intelligent Systems lab, TU Berlin on the topic, "Combining Sampling and Optimization in Motion Planning for Manipulation Tasks".

I also like playing Table Tennis, Cycling, Running, Exploring places and Listening to Hindustani Classical Music. For more information about me do check my Curriculum Vitae.


Experience

Research Intern

Working for my MSc thesis on the topic, "Multimodal Optimization for Manipulation Tasks". This work involves finding all locally optimal solutions, and hence, the globally optimal solution to a given manipulation problem. My work till now can be found on my thesis report , my presentation and on my github repository .

I am currtently working on an extension of this work in which I am trying to develop a method by which I combine Sampling and Trajectory optimization for fast convergence to the global minimum. I recently submitted the work to IROS 2022 and the pre-print can be found on Arxiv.

June 2021 - Present

Research Intern

My work involved designing guidance and control of motion primitives for the underwater ROV for coral reef monitoring. I developed a gradient vector field based guidance law for effectively monitoring tree like coral structures independently controlling the heading and velocity. My work can be viewed here.

Project: Applications of Origami in Engineering - A survey.

Project: Design and Contol of MR Damper for Vehicle Suspension

Researched about the functioning and properties MR Damper and modelled a single Tube MR Damper. FInd my report here.
